The child was adopted to a family in Sweden and is now believed to be in Norway. The child was relinquished by his mother, Tadelech Z., during the revolution in Ethiopia as she feared for his life. The mother is not aware of any organization or orphanage involved in the adoption, but a person named Abreham Tsegaye, from Addis Ababa, was a lawyer and facilitated the process to relinquish the child directly to the adoptive parents. The child was not given an Ethiopian name but was named Makel after the adoption. His father’s name was Yihun D. Mother’s name is Tadelech Z. There was contact between the adoptive family and the mother in Ethiopia until the child was 18. His mother is searching for him to hear about his well-being.
