Adoptee searching for Ethiopian family. Twin girls born in 1997 in or near Jimma, Oromia Region. Their paperwork states they were found at someones home in Jimma in October/November 1997. They were taken by police to the Missionaries of Charity in Jimma for 2-3 days before they were brought to Addis Ababa where they stayed in Missionaries of Charity and another orphanage for 8 month. In 1998 they were adopted to Denmark through AC International Child Support / AC Boernehjaelp.

Details of child(ren)’s abandonment We were found by the police. We don’t know the clothing or the specific location. We have a paper that says that we were abandoned in someones home. We once called Missionaries of Charity and a nurse told us that we were found in Jimma – but we don’t know for sure. We know for sure that we were brought to Missionaries of Charity in October/November 1997 by the police.
