Details of child(ren)’s abandonment Passport and birth certificate says Yonas was born in Modjo. Paperwork says Adama, and also states he was abandoned at a few days/weeks old at St. Emmanuel Church, Nazaret. Paperwork states a police officer found him at the church. Yonas was taken to a local hospital, admitted for a time and then relinquished to Kid’s Care Orphanage in Adama. He was there for 7-9 months before being moved to America World’s transition home in Addis.
