He was found at about one month of age outside the compound of the Ambassade Mozambique, at the back of Bisrate Gabriel church in Addis Ababa at 7.30 pm on 10-03-1989 (Ethiopian calendar) or 22-11-1996 (European calendar). He was adopted the same year to the Netherlands through Wereldkinderen/NICWO via Kechene Children’s Home.
