Ethiopian mother Hanna F., pictured, is searching for female child Bethlehem Birhanu or Betelehem adopted from Addis Ababa in 1989 at the age of 4. The child’s nicknames were Tutti and Emush, and her paperwork may contain those names. Bethlehem’s grandmother gave her for adoption falsely stated she was abandoned because the child needed immediate medical care. Her head was enlarged due to a medical problem that could not be treated in Ethiopia. The family believes the child was given to the Swedish Mission and she may have been in SOS Infants Ethiopia, but the information could be wrong. She is most likely adopted to a Scandinavian country: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, or Finland.
