The Police Station of Debre Markos Town via its letter referenced 2755/3/8 dated on the 1st December 2008 informed us that a little boy of approximately 2 months old, to whom the name Bedilu was given, was found on the 1st of December 2008 at 11H30 a.m. abandoned at District 3 of Kebele 05 along the route of the Arc of the Covenant. The Police went to the place where the child was abandoned, they picked him up and they brought him to the Kebele 05 to Mrs. Bezualem Ayalew, Head of The Women’s Affairs Section, requested that we find a permanent solution for the child. Mrs. Bezualem gave the name Bedilu to the child. As the child has no one to take care of him they request that our office find a permanent solution
We inform you that copies of the documents concerning the child have been sent to The Efederi Ministry of Women’s Affairs to facilitate the follow up. We hereby entrust the child Bedilu to your orphanage, because we believe that it would be much better for her to join an orphanage where she would benefit from the services offered there.
