His uncle, Wondimagegn T, attempted to raise him but was unable to, so in 1994 at the age of 2, Daniel was placed in the care of Selam Children’s Village in Addis Ababa. Daniel was adopted to Switzerland at the age of 3 in 1995 through an unknown agency. It is believed he was adopted with an unrelated(?) female child (L.G.).

Unfortunately his mother died when he was 2 years then I am responsible to help my sister’s child. I took Daniel to Addis Ababa and I tried to raise him but I couldn’t because for at that time I don’t have work so that was difficult for me. After that I tried to search the orphanage and found Selam Children’s Village in Addis Ababa and gave Daneil to them. I worked in different towns, then after 6 months when I came back from countryside, the orphanage workers told me Daniel was adopted abroad. I asked many times to give me his adoptive family addresses and their phone numbers but the orphanage refused. I tried to get the information from Ministry of Women and Children Affairs about Daniel then they gave me the name and the address of Adoptive family but I can’t communicate and contact with them so please Beteseb Felaga help me to found my sister’s child”.
