Give information about how the child became available for adoption My adoptive parents were told that I was found at a police station with my umbical cord still attached to my body. A taxi driver named Getachew later took me to the orphanage Kidane Mehret in Kebena. This was supposedly at the beginning of April. This turned out to be a lie.

In 2016 I went to Addis Ababa and searched with a guide. We found a letter from a nun named Masir. This nun ran the orphanage Kidane Mihret in Kebena, in 1996.  I was two months old when somebody apparently gave me to the orphanage Kidane Mihret in Kebena. Sister Masir wrote that I was found in Woreda 13 Kebele 11 and that somebody wrote a letter for me that I didn’t have any parents. We suspect that this is also a lie and that the person who gave me to the orphanage was most likely a family member.

When I went to Addis Ababa in 2019, I found out that my birth day is approximately 9th of May 1996.

Additional information about this orphanage or care center I stayed in Wogayuh’s home. Wogayuh was a nanny hired by Mr. Tadesse, I stayed here a couple of months until my adoptive mother took me away from Wogayuh’s house.

They all hid the letter of Sister Masir from my adoptive parents and me. They told my parents that I was one day old when they found me at a police station. This turned out to be a lie. There was no information on me, no police report.

Additional information that could be useful to the case I found the letter from the Nun Masir in 2016 at the Women’s and Childrens affair. I have been unable to find any record of my being at Kidane Mehret. This makes us wonder if I actually stayed at Kidane Mehret. We think I might have been stolen, because of all the lies.
