Give information about child’s Ethiopian family, if known. Born in Addis Abbeba, around Markato turf. Their mother died when she was between 20 / 25 years for unknown reasons. T Byniamin and Hanna didn’t have the same father. The father of Byniamin died in the war with / in Eritrea. Hanna’s father’s name was Alemayhu. After the mother’s death , friends of the mother brought Hanna and Byniamin to the orphanage. The father, Alemayhu, had a sister from what Hanna and Byniamin remember.
Identifying marks. Hanna got a burn on her right arm in an accident when she was 2-3 years old. She was probably treated at the hospital. Hanna at 4 years old was less than one meter (short for her age) and had eally big eyes . Byniamin has a scar on his forehead.
Additional information that may help locate family. Hanna and Byniamin both remembered that there was a fire on the area where they lived one night. At least one man died. It could have been on the year of 1997-98. They also remembered a “river” not far from where they lived where people would clean their clothes and where kids were playing on the water. They remembered that they went to school, and not really far from there a disability center for “handicapped” adults. Their mother was working at an industrial company either for wood, flower, metal. It was a physical job. The father was probably selling clothes at the Merkato.
